The Golden Star Hidden Inside Every Dodecahedron

BEHIND THE WORK

Discovered by Johannes Kepler in 1619, the Small Stellated Dodecahedron is the first of four regular Kepler-Poinsot star polyhedra. Formed by extending the 12 pentagrammic faces of a dodecahedron in golden ratio proportions φ = (1 + √5) / 2, twelve sharp star pyramids bloom outward into 3D space. This video traces the complete stellated star polyhedron in one continuous trajectory with exact 0.000mm periodic closure.
