Can One Line Weave a Möbius Strip?
BEHIND THE WORK
Can one line weave a Möbius strip?
One point circles the loop while v(t) = 1.15 sin(√2 t) moves it from edge to edge. The cos(t/2) and sin(t/2) terms rotate that cross-section only halfway during each full lap, creating the strip's single half-twist. Because √2 never synchronizes with the lap, consecutive passes do not repeat; one continuous path gradually reveals a surface with only one side.
Artismathic turns equations into visual art—one function at a time.
